  Xunantunich Mayan Ruins - Just outside of the town, you’ll find the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. They are a must-visit and easily one of the best things to do in San Ignacio, Belize. Here you’ll find the iconic pyramid-shaped stoned staircases plus sweeping views from ruins that date back to at least 600 BC (though the exact date is still unknown). Then, climb up El Castillo for great views of the entire archaeological site
